Puppet show‘s a nightmare for Mr Rabbit but a dream for money mentors

How to engage children with the risks of payday loans? Money mentors from Southlands High School in Chorley came up with a great solution – a puppet show with a cuddly family of rabbits and a classic baddy, Mr Croc the payday lender right here.

Media students from Edge Hill University worked with them to make a film of the show, which is now part of our Financial Risks money management lesson.

Called Mr Rabbit’s Nightmare, it’s a puppet show that tells the story of a father who falls foul of a high-interest loan and the effects on his family.

The script was written by Rachel Offord and Robyn Parker, with scenery produced by Lucy Slater and Lucy Callaghan. The film was directed and produced by Edge Hill third year students.
